What a wellness tracker should actually do
Measurement is solved. Plenty of wearables count steps, read your heart rate and estimate your sleep. What most of them leave you with is a number and a feeling that you should be doing better.
A wellness tracker earns its place when it turns those readings into something you can act on today: an easier day when your body needs one, a short breathing session when strain has built up, or nothing at all when you are fine.
That is the job NUIRA is built for. The NUIRA Band listens, the NUIRA app is where the practice happens, and Awen, the companion, puts what your body is showing into plain words.
What the NUIRA Band tracks
- Heart rate
- Continuous heart rate in the background, and live heart rate during sessions.
- Heart rate variability (HRV)
- How your body is handling strain, measured in the background and on demand during resonance sessions.
- Respiratory rate
- Breaths per minute, used in sessions and in sleep estimates.
- Skin temperature
- Small shifts tracked over time, for trends and optional cycle tracking.
- Sleep
- Light, deep and REM sleep through the night, and what that means for your recovery.
- Steps
- Everyday movement and activity through the day.
The Band is IP68 water and dust resistant, connects over Bluetooth Low Energy, and runs up to 7 days per charge, up to 10 with the wireless charging dock.
From numbers to next steps
Everything the Band reads feeds one memory in the NUIRA app, alongside your journal, your goals and the assessments you choose to take. Awen reads all of it together.
So on a morning after a rough night, you might open the app and read: your body could use an easier day, and a short breathing session or a slow walk might help, if you feel up to it. Awen names what it notices, suggests a next step, and lets you decide.
There is a daily resonance score and trend lines week over week, but no leaderboard, no streak to protect and no badge to lose. It is there to show you where to start today, not how you placed.
Who it is for
NUIRA is built first for frontline workers and military personnel: firefighters, paramedics, police, dispatchers, nurses and care workers who carry pressure their bodies were not built to carry. It works the same for anyone carrying a demanding load, at work or at home.
Your data stays yours
Your journal, your food log and your session detail stay on your phone. Stop paying for the membership and nothing gets bricked: the Band keeps reading your heart rate, HRV, sleep and movement, and your history stays yours.
NUIRA is a wellness platform. It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. If you are worried about your health, talk to a doctor.
